Our individual approach

West End Chiropractic approaches every patient individually. We do this by taking a detailed health history.
then conducting both a postural and a neurological examination. This enables us to understand
what has brought you here and what is needed to restore your health.

We build a care plan tailored to your needs - to initially resolve your symptoms and then restore and maintain your health. A typical three month plan requires regular chiropractic adjustments and advice from us on how you can improve your lifestyle . Most of our clients subsequently decide to continue a maintenance and wellness care programme.

What is Chiropractic?

The goal of chiropractic is to understand and restore the function of the nervous system - looking not simply to address symptoms but to improve the overall function of the patient. Chiropractic is about proactive healthcare. Through chiropractic care our practice members are able to fully enjoy healthy and active lives.

West End Chiropractic

The essence of chiropractic has taught me that the body only adapts to a certain point. Most health issues originate from forcing the body to adapt beyond its capability as a result of bad posture, poor diet and unhealthy lifestyle. In identifying some of these factors, not only do we solve these problems but we enhance the quality of your daily life.

Dr Alan J Ryan - Chiropractor

Chiropractic is more than just a job to me

Chiropractic has helped me understand how and why to live a healthy life. My purpose is to help share this message and to improve the health of our community.

I initially found chiropractic as a patient. I'd been in a car crash and was working in an unfulfilling desk job in the pharmaceutical industry and I needed help. My dad was a GP, my mum was a nurse and I have a pharmacology degree, so I have an understanding of healthcare. But simply managing symptoms wasn’t enough. Chiropractic helped me to find the balance I was missing in my life.

When I was looking for a career change, becoming a chiropractor was the natural fit. After graduating from The Anglo-European College of Chiropractic with a Masters in Chiropractic, I moved to Glasgow. This city, which I love, allows me to enjoy my passions of have music, good food, long walks with my dog and exploring the countryside on my bicycle.
